ERDF Parents’ Meet 2016 : an exercise to create a social bonding between the parents, a sort of Knowledge Excursion – Sh. Mahbubul Hoque, Chairmai, ERDF.

 

A round of applause and claps resonated the Conference Hall of USTM today when Sh. Mahbubul Hoque announced in the midst of packed audience that 5 toppers from University of Science & Technology had been nominated from Prime Minister’s Office for attending the republic day parade on 26th January, 2017.
A host of hundred parents from Barak Valley reached today at University of Science & Technology Techno City Campus to join in an interactive session with different eminent personalities, academicians. ERD Foundation has launched this annual ERDF Parents’ Meet in order to create a social bonding between parents and teachers. “The idea of such a get-together had been conceived long back and this is a just beginning of a knowledge excursion” – said Sh. Mahbubul Hoque, Chairman, ERDF. In his speech, Sh. Hoque also assured the parents “once the seed is sown, no one on this earth can restrain its growth, so if your children get good guidance and proper education which all institutions under ERDF is determined to provide, your children will never be lost in the career race. ERDF is in the path of progress and we are trying our level best to achieve excellence in all respects staring from academics to infrastructure, research and innovation, extra-curricular activities to talent hunt.
Smt. Alaka Sharma, Dean, Students’ Affairs, USTM, had stated in her welcome address “ERDF caters to the need of education from KG to PG. And so we all must stay united to make its progress constant”.
