Commitment and Dedication is the key to success: Controller of Stores NFR at farewell meet of RIST

 

More than two hundred students pursuing various streams at the Regional Institute of Science & Technology (RIST) were given farewell at a colorful function held at the RIST campus on Tuesday, May 31st, 2016.
Shri.Gajanand Prasad, Controller of Stores, Northeast Frontier Railway, Maligaon had graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Shri P.S Sathi, Deputy Chief Materials Manager, NF Railways, Maligaon was present as the Guest of Honour.
Addressing to the outgoing students, Shri Gajanand Prasad asked the students to give prior preference in getting a job in the Government sectors. He emphasised the importance of competitive examinations in getting recruited especially in railway sectors. There are many opportunities in government sectors for the qualified engineers if the preparations can be made in proper way, added the Chief Guest. Shri Prasad also said that there are lot of scope in private sectors for the smart and hardworking applicants, but the key of success is the commitment and dedication.
Shri P.S Sathi, in his speech emphasized that the students of this age are fortunate enough to get exposure even during their college days, earlier it was very rare. The students can choose their area of interest and explore the related job opportunities from the very beginning of their engineering course. The campus recruitments are very helpful though the preparations should be very sincerely done from the part of the students.
Earlier the Executive Director and Director of RIST, Dr UK Sarma and Dr P C Mahanta had congratulated the outgoing students for successfully completing their academic stay at the college and wished them best wishes for a bright career ahead.
