Young and budding engineering students from
Regional Institute of Science and Technology,
Khanapara, 9th mile, Meghalaya, have made a
heart throbbing and an enchanting Marathon Run
through the main street (G.S. Road) of Guwahati
in the wee hours of Thursday on 26th Feb, 2015.
Together hand in hand 300 odd students have
assembled at Dispur, near KAR Bhawan with a firm
and Technologically strong determination to send
a green signal to the otherwise strife-torn
region that “Unity in Diversity” is the best
fruit from a Banyan tree like RIST, an
engineering college, affiliated to NEHU,
Shillong with all freshness and smiles in the
faces that could not only be seen, but also felt
with emotion running down the lane to the heart,
the faculty members, staff members and senior
officials including the Director, Dr. P.C.
Mahanta overshadowed by Mr. M. Hoque, the
Chairman of ERD Foundation whose brain child the
RIST is today, a six years old institution with
a difference. The Run is a part of three-day
colorful program of Techno fest (Esplendidez
2015) being organised from 26th to 28th Feb,
2015 by RISTians.

peace and harmony in the North-Eastern Region in

to be seen and believed in letter and spirit,
one should learn it from this grand show of
unity, organised by the never-tiring spirits of
